Honoring Military Families in A New Children’s Book by Tish Rabe In-Person
Mystic’s own bestselling children’s book author, Tish Rabe (“Robby”), who has written over 200 children’s books, for Sesame Street , Disney, Dr. Seuss and more. She will be sharing her newest book, Sometimes Apart Always in My Heart- helping military families send love from far away.
This book is dedicated to all the brave service members who sacrifice so much to defend and protect our freedom and to the children who wait for them to come home. Ms. Rabe wrote the book in partnership with United Through Reading, a nonprofit that helps deployed service members record themselves reading books to their kids, then sends a new, free book to each child, so no one ever misses story time.
This heartfelt, rhyming story introduces the Bear Family. When Daddy Bear is away on a military assignment, he wants his family to know they are on his mind and in his heart. Their adorable dog, Alaska, who they recently adopted, is serving his country by keeping an eye on everyone until Daddy comes safely home.
